Or rather hammering sounds in my ear (not to mention the saw.) And the new hole in the wall to a bedroom closet.

While my creativity on this project is currently limited to looking for faucets and taps, Lux construction and crew has been hard at work ripping things up and out. And beginning to place important holes in the floor (for the toilet, bathtub, and shower). Oh and there’s a tub in my garage.

We’re into week three. The expensive guys are now coming in: the plumbers been out; the electrician is beginning to untangle the rat’s nest (a technical term) of knob and tube.  The photos seem to look unchanged from day to day but if you look closely you’ll see copper tubing and plastic pipe, new lumber and joists and a window that actually opens and closes — no longer requiring a stick to hold it open.

The bones are being reset to carry the new shape.

Closet doorway is gone. Cabinet to replace the closet.

New hole. Because the 2x4s were set short, some plumbing will have a little box in the bedroom closet.

Tub in the garage — not much to see yet

Nothing pretty yet. But you need solid insides for the pretty to hang well.
